Wave Animation is a Jamaican digital-first animation studio creating world-class animated films, original intellectual property, and opportunities powered by local talent. We exist to share our own perspective through the mediums we love, bringing together Jamaican culture, original fantasy, science fiction, and cinematic storytelling to create unforgettable experiences for audiences around the world.
We saw a challenge that many creatives know all too well: incredible talent exists across Jamaica, yet too many artists remain unfound, disconnected, or overlooked because of infrastructure, geography, or limited opportunities. Instead of accepting those barriers, we chose to build the solution.
Wave is more than an animation studio: it's a creative hub where artists, writers, animators, filmmakers, musicians, voice actors, and storytellers can discover one another, collaborate, and grow together. Our debut feature film, Blackgoat — Guard of the Sun, represents the beginning of that vision: an original Jamaican science-fantasy adventure that showcases the quality, creativity, and ambition of local talent while laying the foundation for a new generation of Caribbean storytelling.
