Quick answers

Where is the studio located?
Wave Animation is a digital-first studio operating from Kingston, Jamaica. There is currently no physical public office — our team collaborates online.
How do I enroll in a Wave Academy course — are any free?
Click the surfboard icon in the top-right to sign in, then find the course you want to try on the Academy page. Basic-level courses are free; Advanced-level courses are paid — buy one directly, or get it as part of the Advanced membership package.
Do I get a certificate when I finish a course?
Yes — you receive a valid, authentic Standard Level Certification when you complete a course. It appears in the Certificates section of your dashboard.
How do TASKPAYs payouts work — when do I receive my money?
Wave Animation confirms receiving your submission, and after processing, payment is deposited to the account you have on file. Set up direct deposit under Account Settings → Payout details — your bank details are held privately under our payout agreement and shown masked after you confirm them.
What is SHELL and what can I spend it on?
SHELL is a token of appreciation Wave Animation shows its dear surfers — the people who contribute to the studio's vision. SHELL converts to a discount on any purchase on the platform (memberships excluded).
How long does a portfolio review take?
Advanced tier: about 3 days. Basic tier: about 7 days. Free tier: about 21 days.
When will Manja pre-orders ship?
Pre-orders ship out on July 7, 2027. Digital editions are delivered instantly on release.
Where do you ship merch orders?
Items are shipped to the shipping address on file — set yours in Account Settings. Order history and invoices live in your dashboard.
Can I apply for an internship with no experience?
Yes — if you have passion and want to learn, Wave Animation's internship learners program is made for people trying their hand at animation for the very first time.
Can I join a club for free?
Yes — every club except the Business Club is free to enter. Free members can view the club live chat; you need a subscription to chat live with club members, and a top tier to upload images.
What payment methods do you accept?
Major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay and Cash App Pay.
How do I pitch or invest in a production?
Choose "Business & partnerships" in the contact form, or send a brief through Client Services. Our producing team reviews every serious inquiry.
